I’ve had my foot in so many different doors (yes doors, not people) that I feel like this business was meant for me. Fifteen years headfirst in the D.C. entertainment and nightlife scenes brought so many amazing people and experiences across my path. Everything from managing night clubs and strip clubs, being a dance manager, cupcake caterer, ETC. (this already sounds like a Will & Grace episode doesn’t it?) From stripping, to being a male entertainer, to that one guy named John in the back stall at Green Lantern, I’ve had all kinds of different jobs that have brought me to my next journey here at Matt’s Cakes & Things. All of my life experiences have prepared me to put some of the funniest shit that has come out of my mouth on T-shirts, shorts, bandannas, your mom’s purse, your dad's thong… you name it. 

 

  I’ve always lived my life with no filter, so be prepared to get offended, have a good laugh or give a vicious eye roll. Matt’s Cakes & Things is all about embracing your true self and letting your freak flag fly. We create for those who don’t take life too seriously and are unafraid to be unapologetically authentic. We bet on the dreamers, celebrate the slutty, root for the underdogs and make bold apparel for the ones who live life outside of the box.
